Description

The Halox is a 440mm brown metal wall light with two E27 bulb fittings behind sandblasted Pyrex glass diffusers. The body comprises two rounded metal cylinders in a brown powder-coat finish, separated by a central brushed metal band that also forms the wall plate. Each cylinder houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind a frosted glass lens that diffuses direct glare into an even wash of light along the wall.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where wall-washing ambient light is needed at switch height, the Halox fits flush to the wall with a 125mm projection. The two-bulb configuration allows directional control — one bulb for low-level evening lighting, both for full output. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations. The brown metal finish pairs with warmer interior palettes including terracotta, ochre, timber tones and natural linens.

The sandblasted Pyrex diffusers are heavier and more heat-resistant than standard acrylic alternatives, handling the thermal output from incandescent, halogen or LED E27 bulbs up to the rated wattage. The central brushed metal band contrasts with the matt brown cylinders, adding a subtle detail that prevents the fitting from appearing as a single flat mass on the wall. Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Most LED E27 bulbs marked as dimmable will work, but test with your specific dimmer model before committing to a full installation.

What bulbs does it take?

The Halox takes two standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. For wall-washing ambient light, warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K are typical. Check the Specification tab for the maximum wattage rating.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no moisture protection and is only suitable for dry indoor locations such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. For bathrooms, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.

How is it mounted?

The central brushed metal band acts as the wall plate. The fitting mounts to a standard wall back box or directly to the wall surface using fixing screws. The 125mm projection means it sits clear of the wall, allowing light to wash both up and down the surface.
