Description

The Halleron is a 696mm outdoor pedestal lantern with a spherical seeded glass globe held within a grey metal frame and topped with a turned finial. Three E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the globe, casting light through the textured glass and the decorative ironwork banding at the sphere's equator. The lantern mounts onto a matching pedestal base with vertical slat detailing and sits at a total height of approximately 700mm.

Designed for gateposts, piers, low boundary walls and entrance pillars, the Halleron provides 360-degree light distribution suitable for marking driveways, illuminating steps or flanking a front door. The IP44 rating protects the internal wiring and bulb holders from rain and spray, making it suitable for exposed locations including coastal properties. The pedestal base includes an internal cable channel and fits standard post-top mounting plates or can be surface-fixed to flat pier caps.

The grey finish is a low-sheen powder coat over die-cast metal components, giving a weathered appearance that matches traditional ironwork without the maintenance requirements of raw iron. The seeded glass is moulded with fine internal bubbles and irregularities that diffuse the light and soften glare when viewed directly. At 305mm diameter the globe provides substantial presence on a 400mm-square pier without overwhelming smaller residential gates.

The Halleron takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a soft outdoor glow without excessive brightness.

IP44 means the lantern is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashing from any direction. It is suitable for exposed outdoor locations including gateposts, piers and pillars where rain and spray are expected, but should not be submerged or subjected to high-pressure water jets.
