Halleron 3 Light Outdoor Chain Pendant - Burnished Bronze

The Halleron is a 305mm spherical outdoor pendant light with a burnished bronze frame enclosing a clear seeded glass globe, suspended on a chain from a matching ceiling canopy. Three E14 bulbs inside the globe (sold separately, max 40W each) cast light through the seeded glass, which breaks the beam into soft ambient glow with textured shadow patterns across surrounding surfaces.

Designed for covered outdoor areas such as porch ceilings, pergola beams, veranda soffits and loggia entries, the Halleron carries an IP44 rating against water ingress from splashing and rain when installed under overhead protection. The chain drop is adjustable between 565mm and 2362mm, allowing the pendant to be positioned at the appropriate height above a seating area, dining table or walkway depending on ceiling height. The 305mm diameter globe provides presence without overwhelming typical 2-3m wide porch or veranda spaces.

The burnished bronze finish on the metalwork has a darker, aged tone compared to polished or brushed bronze, with subtle tonal variation that reads as charcoal-brown in low light and warm bronze under direct sun. Two decorative bands encircle the globe at the equator and upper hemisphere, each featuring vertical slat detailing that references Victorian street lantern design. The seeded glass itself contains small bubbles and irregularities deliberately introduced during manufacture, giving the surface a hand-blown appearance and creating the textured light scatter when the bulbs are lit.

The canopy fits standard UK outdoor ceiling roses and the chain conceals the cable run. The combined glass globe and bronze metalwork give the fitting a substantial 2.8kg weight, requiring secure fixing into solid structure rather than lightweight pergola battens. The three-bulb configuration provides balanced illumination across the full 360-degree surround, making the Halleron suitable for positions where the pendant is viewed from multiple angles rather than just from below.

What does the IP44 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP44 protects against water splashing from any direction, making the Halleron suitable for covered outdoor areas such as porches, verandas and pergolas where the fitting has overhead protection from direct rain. It is not rated for fully exposed positions without a roof or canopy above.

What bulbs does it take?

The Halleron takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for outdoor ambiance without excessive brightness.

Can the chain length be adjusted?

Yes. The 1829mm chain allows the pendant to hang between 565mm and 2362mm from the ceiling, adjusted during installation by removing or adding chain links. The cable is fed through the chain and concealed within it.

How is the seeded glass cleaned?

The glass globe unscrews from the metal frame for access. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. The seeded texture means some dust may collect in the surface bubbles over time, but this does not significantly affect light output and adds to the aged lantern character.
