Description

The Halden is a semi-circular outdoor wall light in a graphite powder-coated finish, designed to direct light downwards through an opal polycarbonate lens. The IP65 rating provides full dust protection and resistance to water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed exterior walls, covered patios, conservatories and unheated porches year-round.

Sized at 310mm wide and projecting 155mm from the wall, the Halden suits placement either side of doorways, along garden paths, or spaced at 2-3m intervals on boundary walls to create pools of downlight on pathways and planted borders. The downlight-only orientation prevents glare when approaching the fitting on foot, concentrating the light output where it's needed rather than into the eyes of visitors or into neighbouring properties.

The graphite finish is a mid-tone charcoal grey that sits comfortably on rendered walls, brick, timber cladding and most exterior materials without the stark contrast of matt black or the brightness of white. The opal polycarbonate lens diffuses the bulb filament or LED elements, preventing harsh shadows and giving a soft wash of light across the wall surface below. The E27 socket accepts any standard screw-base bulb up to 60W, including warm-white LED bulbs in the 6-10W range for low running costs.
