The Habana is a square pendant lampshade measuring 45cm x 45cm across and 21.5cm high, built from woven black fabric stretched over a rigid geometric frame. The fabric is a tightly woven textile with visible texture that diffuses light evenly when paired with a pendant bulb holder or suspension fitting inside the shade.

Designed to fit standard pendant suspension kits, the Habana suits dining tables, kitchen islands and living room pendants where a square profile adds architectural definition. The 45cm footprint provides enough presence for a 4-6 seater dining table or a 2-3m kitchen island without overwhelming the space. The shade pairs with ES (E27) or BC (B22) pendant bulb holders, which sit inside the shade and are concealed when viewed from below.

The black fabric gives a consistent tone across the entire shade surface, with the weave texture adding depth under direct light. What fitting does the Habana work with?

The Habana is a shade only, designed to fit over a standard pendant bulb holder with an ES (E27) or BC (B22) fitting. The suspension kit, cable and bulb holder are sold separately. Most standard UK pendant kits will fit inside the 45cm x 45cm aperture at the top of the shade.

What size table or island does it suit?

The 45cm square footprint suits dining tables for 4-6 people or kitchen islands of 2-3m length. For larger islands or tables, multiple Habana shades can be hung in a row with spacing between them to provide even coverage.

What bulb is recommended?

A warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K gives soft ambient light through the black fabric. Filament-style LED bulbs work well if the bulb is visible from below when the shade is hung, though the shade does conceal most of the bulb from typical viewing angles.

How is the fabric cleaned?

Dust the fabric with a soft brush or vacuum on a low setting with a brush attachment. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with water only. Do not use sprays or detergents, as they may stain or discolour the fabric.
