The Habana is a square floor lamp shade in black woven fabric, measuring 35.5cm across at the top and base with a 25cm height. The shade tapers from 30cm at the bottom to 35.5cm at the top, creating a shallow inverted trapezoid profile that sits comfortably on modern floor lamp bases with standard duplex or spider fittings.

Designed for contemporary and industrial interiors, the black fabric diffuses light from below while maintaining enough opacity to prevent glare when viewed from the side. The square form gives a crisp architectural presence that works alongside metal tripod bases, turned wood stems, or concrete column bases. The shade weighs 0.6kg, light enough to sit securely on most floor lamp structures without requiring additional ballast.

The woven fabric construction holds its shape through tension stitching at the corners and along the vertical seams. The black tone absorbs ambient light during the day, making the shade recede visually when the lamp is off, then projects warm diffused light upward and downward when the lamp is lit. The fabric surface shows a subtle diagonal weave pattern visible at close range but reads as matte black from typical viewing distances across a room.

Can this be used on a table lamp base?

The 35.5cm width and 25cm height are proportioned for floor lamps. It could fit a very large table lamp base, but most table lamp proportions would be overwhelmed by a shade this size.

How is the fabric cleaned?

Woven fabric lamp shades collect dust over time. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner at low suction, or a clean microfibre cloth to wipe gently. Avoid water or cleaning sprays, as these can stain or warp the fabric.
