The Habana is a round white fabric lamp shade measuring 21cm at the base, 24cm at the top opening, and 16.5cm high. The shade is constructed from woven white textile stretched over a metal frame, with the open top and bottom allowing the shade to fit standard lamp bases with shade carriers or clip-on fittings.

Designed for table lamps on bedside tables, desks and console tables, the Habana diffuses light through the white fabric while directing some illumination upward through the top aperture and downward through the base. The 21/24cm footprint suits compact lamp bases between 15-30cm tall, where a larger shade would overpower the proportions. The circular profile softens against square or angular lamp bases and provides balanced coverage for a single bulb.

The white fabric shows a fine weave pattern visible at close range but reads as uniform white from typical viewing distance. The shade weighs 0.2kg, light enough not to unbalance smaller ceramic or metal bases. The textile construction means the shade can be gently vacuumed or brushed to remove dust, though it should not be immersed in water or chemically cleaned as this may damage the fabric or the adhesive bonding it to the frame.

What fitting does the shade require?

The Habana has open top and bottom apertures for standard shade carrier or clip-on fittings. Check your lamp base has either a threaded shade carrier (the metal ring that screws onto the bulb holder) or a clip-on frame before ordering.

What size bulb does it suit?

The shade works with compact E14 or E27 bulbs. Avoid oversized globe bulbs or high-wattage halogen lamps that generate excessive heat close to the fabric. LED bulbs between 4-10W are recommended.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

Dust gently with a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment on low suction. Do not immerse the shade in water, use spray cleaners or detergents, as these may damage the fabric or weaken the adhesive bonding the textile to the frame.

Can the shade be used on pendant lamps?

The Habana is designed for table lamps with upward-facing fittings. It is not suitable for pendant lamps where the fitting hangs downward, as the open top aperture would be visible and the shade would need to be inverted.
