Description

The Guss is a 540mm sculptural LED table lamp with two curved white acrylic diffuser tubes held within a polished chrome S-shaped frame. Each tube houses integrated LED modules totalling 30W output at 2700K warm white, with the light emitted through the translucent acrylic creating both upward and downward ambient illumination.

Designed for side tables, console tables and bedside use in contemporary and modern interiors, the Guss acts as both functional lighting and a sculptural accent. The curved form gives the lamp a 190mm footprint with a 90mm depth, allowing it to fit onto narrower console or hallway tables without tipping. The polished chrome frame reflects surrounding room tones and daylight, while the white acrylic softens the LED output into diffuse ambient light rather than a harsh point source.

The lamp weighs 3.1kg, giving it a stable base without needing additional weighting. The polished chrome is finished to a mirror standard and requires occasional wiping with a microfibre cloth to maintain reflectivity. The acrylic tubes are frosted rather than clear, hiding the internal LED modules from view when the lamp is switched off. Is the Guss dimmable?

No. The integrated LED modules are not compatible with dimmer switches and should be connected to a standard on/off switched mains circuit only.

Can the LED modules be replaced?

The LEDs are integrated into the lamp body and are not user-replaceable. The LED lifespan is typically 20,000-30,000 hours of use, equivalent to 10-15 years of typical domestic evening use.

What size table does it suit?

The 190mm x 90mm footprint fits onto most console, side and bedside tables. At 540mm height the lamp sits proportionally on tables between 600-900mm tall without appearing top-heavy.

How is the chrome cleaned?

Wipe the polished chrome frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, followed by immediate drying with a dry cloth to prevent water spots.
