Description

The Guntin pendant light is a ceiling light formed from interlaced, twisting bands of steel in a textured bronze finish, hung on three slim wires from a round canopy. Each band carries integrated LEDs behind a white plastic diffuser, so the light leaves in soft, continuous lines rather than from a single bright point. It measures 61.5cm in length and has an overall height of 180cm. With an IP20 rating it is made for indoor rooms that stay dry, so it belongs in living and dining spaces rather than a bathroom or a porch.

Over a dining table is where it looks most at home: the twisting rings read well from every seat, and at 60W with 5,920lm it has the output to light a full table and the room around it. It suits a living room or an open-plan dining space just as well, anywhere a single ceiling light has to do the main work. The colour temperature spans 2200K, a warm amber glow for a slow dinner, to 6500K, a crisp cool light for a busy morning, and because it is dimmable you can bring the level down for a quieter evening. It works with a remote control, which is sold separately and is not in the box.

The body is steel and the diffuser is white plastic, so the bronze bands keep a clean, defined profile while the light itself comes through soft and even. The height is adjustable by hand, which lets you set the rings at the right level over a table or lift them clear of heads in a walkway. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 5.2KG.
