Description

The Grove is a 740mm crystal chandelier with 12 E14 candle bulb fittings arranged across two tiers on a gold-finished metal frame. Cut crystal droplets hang from curved arms that sweep outwards and upwards from a central column, with blown glass bobeches positioned beneath each bulb holder. A velvet fabric cover conceals the suspension chain from ceiling rose to canopy.

Designed for dining rooms, drawing rooms and double-height entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Grove provides ambient and decorative lighting across approximately 15-20 square metres. The 12 bulbs are dimmable when paired with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable E14 bulbs, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for entertaining to lower levels for background ambience. The chandelier drop from ceiling rose to lowest crystal is approximately 630mm, with the chain length adjustable during installation.

The gold finish on the metalwork is a warm mid-tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing with both warm wood interiors and cooler neutral palettes. Each crystal droplet is facet-cut to refract light when the chandelier is lit, creating small points of reflected light on surrounding walls and ceilings. The combined weight of metal frame, glass bobeches and crystal droplets gives the fitting a substantial presence once hung, requiring secure fixing to a joist or ceiling support capable of carrying the load.

Manufactured by Ideal Lux in Italy, the Grove carries a 5-year warranty and an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only. Bulbs are sold separately — most users pair this with 12 x warm-white dimmable LED candle bulbs between 3-5W each and 2700K-3000K colour temperature to achieve the intended warm ambient effect without excessive heat or running cost.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Grove take?

The chandelier takes 12 x E14 candle bulbs (small Edison screw, sometimes called SES). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white dimmable LED candle bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting without excessive heat or energy cost.

Is the Grove dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the chandelier with a compatible dimmer switch. The metal frame and wiring support dimming — the bulb choice and dimmer switch determine whether dimming works in practice.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier drop is 630mm from ceiling rose to the lowest crystal, meaning ceiling heights of 2.7m or above work best to maintain comfortable head clearance beneath the fitting. The chain is adjustable during installation if a shorter drop is needed.

Can the Grove be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the chandelier is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It does not carry splash or moisture protection and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.
