Description

The Gronanne LED ground light is a small, round light that sits flush with the ground, with a brushed stainless steel top ring fixed by four screws around a white satin glass diffuser. It is 10cm across and needs 6.5cm of depth beneath the surface, with a 9cm cut-out. The LED is integrated, drawing 2.5W for 230 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. Its IP65 and IP67 ratings settle where it can go: it is sealed against dust and copes with jets of water and brief immersion, so it belongs outdoors, set into the ground.

We like it along the edge of a gravel path, picking out a border or marking the line of a terrace, where low light guides the way after dark without lighting the whole garden. Because the top sits flush, there is no raised edge to catch a foot, and it takes a load of up to 500kg, enough for people walking across it. The warm white at 3000K flatters stone, gravel and planting, giving a soft pool of light rather than the glare of a floodlight.
