Description

The Griffin is a 533mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a shallow etched glass bowl held by four curved metal arms that sweep up from a central stem to a ceiling canopy finished in antique nickel. The glass bowl is painted white on the inside to diffuse light evenly across the surface and prevent glare from the four E27 bulbs (sold separately). The 356mm drop from ceiling to base of the fitting suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights without encroaching into headroom.

Designed for ambient lighting in hallways, entrance halls, bedrooms and living rooms where a full pendant would hang too low, the Griffin provides a balance between flush-mount compactness and semi-flush presence. The curved arms add visual interest without complexity, and the antique nickel finish — a warmer, brushed metal tone with subtle grey-brown patina — pairs comfortably with both neutral wall colours and richer accent tones. The fitting installs onto standard UK ceiling roses and the metal canopy conceals the electrical connection.

The etched glass diffuser is held in place by a decorative finial at the base of the central stem, allowing the bowl to be removed for bulb changes without disconnecting the fitting from the ceiling. Each of the four E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W (240W total load), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or decorative filament bulbs depending on the brightness and colour temperature needed.
