The Granvenne is a two light outdoor wall light: a clean rectangular box in a black finish that sends light both up and down the wall through round lenses at the top and bottom. It stands 15.5cm high, measures 7cm in length and projects 9cm from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a door without crowding a narrow porch. It takes two GU10 lamps at 4.6W each, giving 400lm per light. The IP44 rating settles where it can go: it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.

We would put a pair either side of a front door, or space several along a garden wall or the back of the house beside a patio, where the up and down light washes the brickwork or render in two neat beams. It suits anyone who wants a modern, uncluttered exterior: the plain black form stays quiet by day and lets the light do the work after dark. Because it lights the wall above and below rather than shining straight out from the front, a doorway looks welcoming at night, and the texture of a rendered wall is picked out nicely.
