The Grand Bank is a single-light outdoor wall light built around an oval wood-effect frame in antique grey, mounted on a brushed aluminium circular backplate and arm. A cylindrical seeded glass shade sits within the oval frame, housing a single E14 candle bulb (sold separately, maximum 40W). The IP44 rating protects against rain and splashing, making it suitable for exposed exterior walls in UK weather.

Designed for porch lighting, patio walls, and flanking front doors or garage entrances, the Grand Bank projects 238mm from the wall and stands 261mm tall. The seeded glass diffuses the light from the central bulb whilst the open oval frame allows light to escape in all directions, creating both direct downlight and a halo wash on the wall behind. The dual-finish combination of grey wood-effect and brushed aluminium suits coastal, farmhouse and transitional exterior schemes.

The metal construction uses a powder-coated finish on the aluminium backplate and a textured wood-grain effect on the oval frame, giving the appearance of weathered timber without the maintenance or warping issues of real wood outdoors. The 206mm width and 238mm projection mean the fitting suits most standard UK exterior walls without overwhelming narrow doorways or pathways. The seeded glass adds visual texture when unlit and softens glare when the bulb is on.

What bulb does it take?

The Grand Bank takes a single E14 small Edison screw candle bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users fit a 4-6W warm white LED candle bulb at 2700K for porch and entrance lighting. Frosted or clear candle bulbs both work, though frosted reduces glare through the seeded glass.

Is it suitable for exposed locations?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against rain and splashing from any direction, making it suitable for UK coastal, rural and urban exterior walls. The metal frame and powder-coated finishes resist corrosion better than real timber alternatives.

Can it be fitted to brick or render?

The circular backplate fixes to standard UK exterior walls using wall plugs and screws (not included). It suits brick, block, render and painted masonry. The 206mm backplate diameter covers most junction boxes and mounting imperfections.

Does the seeded glass affect light output?

The seeded texture diffuses the light from the central bulb, softening glare and creating a warmer appearance than clear glass. Light still escapes through the open oval frame in all directions, so output loss is minimal compared to a fully enclosed lantern.
