Description

The Graham is a 3 light semi-flush ceiling light with a black welded metal frame and two tiers of off-white faux parchment drum shades. The outer shade measures 406mm diameter and sits 359mm from the ceiling when flush-mounted, with the inner shade nested inside on a stepped frame that exposes three E14 candle bulbs between the tiers. The fitting can also be installed as a pendant with the included chain, offering a drop adjustable from 359mm to 1299mm.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.6m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Graham works as semi-flush lighting in entrance halls, bedrooms, dining rooms and landings. The dual-tier shade configuration directs light both up through the inner drum and down through the outer, providing ambient room illumination without harsh downward glare. When installed as a pendant, the extended drop suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables in rooms with higher ceilings.

The faux parchment shades diffuse light from the three E14 bulbs across the fabric weave, softening the output and reducing the hard shadows typical of exposed-bulb fittings. The black welded frame pairs the traditional drum shade format with a contemporary dark metal finish that works in both transitional and modern interiors. Each shade is backed with a white inner lining to maximise light reflection, and the visible candle cluster between the tiers adds decorative interest when viewed from below.

The fitting weighs approximately 2.8kg and fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose using the circular black metal canopy. The chain and cable run concealed through the central stem when installed as a pendant, or the stem shortens to a flush mount by removing the chain entirely. Each E14 socket accepts candle bulbs up to 40W, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or decorative filament bulbs depending on preferred light output and colour temperature.

Can this be installed on a sloped ceiling?

No. The Graham requires a flat horizontal ceiling surface for both semi-flush and pendant installation. The canopy mounts flush to the ceiling and cannot accommodate an angled surface.

What bulbs are recommended?

The fitting takes three E14 candle bulbs up to 40W each. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in 2700K warm white to provide adequate ambient light without exceeding the safe heat output for the fabric shades. Bulbs are sold separately.

What is the difference between semi-flush and pendant mode?

Semi-flush mode installs the fitting 359mm from the ceiling with no visible chain, suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.6m.
