Grafos LED Large Wall Light 19.5W 3000K - Gold Leaf

The Grafos is a 94cm sculptural LED wall light from Schuller, built around a flowing S-curve metal frame finished in hand-applied gold leaf. Two opal silicone diffusers sit at each end of the curve, housing integrated 19.5W LEDs that emit 900 lumens of 3000K warm white light. The diffusers glow rather than project directional beams, turning the entire fitting into a wall sculpture that provides ambient wash light.

Designed for feature walls in living rooms, hallways, hotel lobbies and residential dining spaces, the Grafos can be mounted in either orientation depending on the wall space and surrounding architecture. The extended horizontal format of 94cm width and 28cm height suits walls with clear runs above a sofa, sideboard or console table, where the light acts as both functional ambient source and decorative focal point. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations.

The gold leaf finish is applied by hand to the metal frame, so slight variation in tone and texture between individual pieces is expected. The leaf catches and reflects room light during the day and glows warmly when the LEDs are on in the evening. At 0.73kg total weight and 4cm projection from the wall, the Grafos mounts to standard plasterboard with appropriate fixings or directly to masonry with supplied screws. The Class 1 electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation.

The integrated LED module is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of typical use. The 900 lumen output and 3000K colour temperature provide functional ambient light for a 4-5m living room wall when paired with other sources, but the primary function is decorative rather than task lighting. The CRI of >80 renders colours accurately enough for residential use but falls short of gallery-grade lighting standards.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The 19.5W LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 25,000+ hours of typical use, which equates to approximately 10-15 years at 4-6 hours per day.

Is the Grafos dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and the driver installed in the fitting. Schuller LED wall lights typically work with trailing-edge dimmers, but we recommend confirming compatibility before installation.

Can it be mounted in either direction?

Yes. The S-curve design allows the fitting to be installed in either orientation depending on wall space and surrounding furniture. The electrical connection and mounting bracket remain hidden behind the backplate regardless of orientation.

What wall fixings are needed?

For plasterboard walls, use plasterboard anchors rated for at least 1kg. For masonry or brick, the supplied screws can be used with standard wall plugs. The fitting weighs 0.73kg and projects 4cm from the wall surface.
