Description

This wooden photo frame marks graduation day with a black tassel that hangs from a small silver-coloured stud at the top right corner, just like the tassel on a mortarboard. The frame has a smooth matt black finish and a slim 2cm depth, and it surrounds a crisp white mount. The word Graduation is lettered across the top of the mount in a classic serif, and beneath the picture opening runs the line 'Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.' in a neat typewriter style. The rectangular opening takes a single 6 x 4in photograph in portrait, the standard size for a printed photo.

It stands upright on a desk, a bookshelf or a mantelpiece, with the tassel falling freely beside the picture. Choose your favourite photograph from the ceremony, whether it is the moment the scroll is handed over, a family group outside the hall or a cap thrown high, and it becomes a keepsake of a hard won milestone. As a graduation gift it is a thoughtful one, ready to fill with a print and wrap, and the encouraging line on the mount stays meaningful long after the day has passed. The black and white colouring sits comfortably in a study, a bedroom or a living room, among books and other mementoes.

The frame is wooden with a matt black finish around the white mount, and the tassel is a full fringe of black threads gathered under a neat binding near the top. Its corners are cleanly mitred, giving a crisp edge from every angle. To keep it looking its best, dust the frame with a soft dry cloth and run your fingers gently through the tassel now and then to keep the threads straight. Slip in a photograph, add a card with a few words of your own, and it makes a simple, lasting way to say well done on graduation day.
