Description

A small round spotlight with the LED built in, 80mm across and shallow in profile. The light is cool white at 4000K, a crisp neutral tone that keeps whites reading as white and edges looking sharp, and it draws 7W to do it. The beam is broad rather than narrow, so it washes a surface rather than picking out one object. There is no dimming, so a plain switch suits it best.

We use small spotlights like this where a bigger fitting would crowd the ceiling: galley kitchens, utility rooms, box rooms, a landing, the run above a worktop. The cool white output makes it a sensible choice for places where you are doing something rather than settling down, so we would put it over a sink, a workbench, a study desk or a set of shelves. Several in a row give even light across a narrow space. It is designed for dry rooms indoors, so keep it out of the shower zone and away from an exposed porch.

The body is finished in sand white, a soft matt white that sits quietly against a painted ceiling and does not flare under its own light. The driver is included and housed within the fitting. For cleaning, take the power off and go over the outer face with a dry microfibre cloth; skip sprays and cream cleaners, which will dull the finish. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the same spotlight in sand black, and in a warmer white for bedrooms and snugs where cool light would feel too brisk. The LED is integral, so there is no lamp to buy or change.
