Description

The Gosmelle is a round LED downlight in white, made to sit flush in a ceiling with only its bezel and diffuser on show. It measures 8.6cm across, with a steel body, a white plastic diffuser and a lightly textured white bezel that reads as part of the ceiling once it is fitted. The LED is integrated, drawing 2.7W and giving 330lm of cool light at 4000K, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as the drier rooms of the house.

Because 4000K is a crisp, neutral light, it suits places where you want to see clearly: kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, utility rooms and home offices. In a bathroom, a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The IP44 rating also lets it live outdoors, set into the ceiling of a covered porch. Fitted in a row, several of these give an even wash of light across a ceiling without any hanging fittings to dust. The small diameter keeps each one discreet, which matters in a low or busy ceiling where larger lights would crowd the space.
