Description

The Gosmelle is a slim round LED downlight in satin nickel, 16cm across and only 2.8cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling as a neat disc. A brushed steel rim frames a white plastic diffuser, and the light source is integrated LED: 11W giving 1,350lm at 4000K, a clean, cool light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms. The LEDs are built in, so there is no separate bulb to buy or fit.

We think it suits the spaces where you want clear, even light without a hanging pendant: a hallway, a landing, a walk-in wardrobe, a study or a bedroom. Its low profile keeps it out of the way on lower ceilings. The 4000K is crisp enough to pick out a coat, read a label or find something in a drawer, while the satin nickel rim looks at home beside brushed steel door handles, hooks and switch plates. Several in a row along a corridor make a tidy line of light.

The body is steel, a strong, stiff metal that holds its round shape, and the white plastic diffuser covers the LEDs so you see a smooth white disc whenever it is lit. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own: it runs from your wall switch at full output. It works at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, carries energy class E and weighs 0.405KG packed. As a mains light wired into the ceiling, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
