Description
Glow Nw is an LED strip light made as a soft white tube, 300cm long and 2.2cm across, that hangs from the ceiling in flowing curves. The body is plastic and aluminium in textured black, which you see in the round ceiling canopy and the end caps, while the tube itself is white plastic that spreads the light along its whole length, much like neon. The integrated LEDs give 2,700 lumens, a generous output for a dining table or a seating area. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.
Because the tube bends, the line it draws is yours to choose: a lazy wave over a dining table, a deep loop between the beams of a loft, or a long sweep across an open-plan living room. Fine suspension wires hold the curve in place, so the light looks like a drawing in mid-air rather than a conventional pendant. It suits modern homes with plain walls and generous ceilings, and it works just as well in restaurants, cafés and bars, where several lengths hung together give a room real character. Keep it to dry indoor spaces, as its rating requires.
There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, and it is not dimmable, so it always runs at full brightness. The LEDs are built in and cannot be replaced, which means there are no bulbs to buy or change. As a wired ceiling light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.5KG. We suggest sketching the curve you want beforehand, so you know how deep each dip should hang.
