Glorion 1 Light Pendant - Black, 13cm

The Glorion is a 13cm conical pendant light with a matt black powder-coated metal shade, white-painted interior and a single GU10 downlight fitting. The cone directs light downward in a focused beam while the white interior reflects light back through the aperture, reducing the harsh shadows typical of narrow downlighters.

Designed for task lighting over kitchen worktops, breakfast bars, bathroom vanities and desk surfaces, the Glorion works as a single pendant where a concentrated pool of light is needed, or in multiples at 400-600mm centres along an island or counter. The 2000mm fabric-covered cable allows the pendant to be set at the appropriate drop height during installation, typically 600-900mm above the work surface depending on ceiling height and the task.

The 13cm diameter and 115mm cone height give the fitting a compact profile that sits unobtrusively in the visual field when viewed from a standing position. The matt black finish absorbs reflections under daylight and pairs comfortably with both industrial and contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — avoid bathrooms unless zoned appropriately.

The Glorion accepts any GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to the maximum wattage stated in the specification table (sold separately). GU10 LED bulbs between 4-7W and 3000K-4000K are the most common pairing for kitchen and office task lighting. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 dimmable bulb and trailing-edge dimmer switch.

What bulb does it take?

The Glorion uses a standard GU10 twist-and-lock bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 4-7W GU10 LED in 3000K-4000K for task lighting. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 dimmable bulb and a trailing-edge dimmer switch.

How far should it hang above a worktop?

For task lighting over kitchen islands or work surfaces, the pendant typically hangs 600-900mm above the worktop. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height and preferred light intensity.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor environments only. It can be used in a bathroom if installed outside zones where water spray is present, but should not be placed directly above a bath or shower enclosure.

Can multiple pendants be used together?

Yes. The compact 13cm diameter makes the Glorion well-suited to multi-pendant arrangements along kitchen islands or breakfast bars, typically spaced at 400-600mm centres. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose or can be wired to a multi-outlet ceiling plate.
