Glistenis Recessed Downlight - 21W 4000K Grey

The Glistenis is an 82mm recessed downlight with an integrated 21W LED module producing 4000K cool white light through a grey aluminium housing. The LED sits inside a cylindrical heat-dissipating body that recesses into the ceiling void, leaving only the 82mm diameter rim and lens visible from below. The fixed-position module directs light straight down with a focused beam spread.

Designed for commercial and residential installations where consistent overhead lighting is needed, the Glistenis suits retail displays, office corridors, showrooms, kitchens and bathrooms rated IP20 or above. The 4000K colour temperature provides neutral white light that matches daylight tone, making it appropriate for task-focused environments where colour rendering and visibility matter. The 500mm cable run from the back of the housing to the driver gives flexibility during installation when connecting to mains supply or a ceiling-mounted driver.

The grey aluminium finish on the visible rim integrates with modern ceilings in commercial fit-outs and contemporary residential projects where exposed downlight bezels need to blend with grey, concrete or steel-toned interiors. The rear heat sink uses extruded aluminium fins to dissipate heat passively, requiring no fan or active cooling. What ceiling void depth is required?

The rear heat sink and cable termination require approximately 120-140mm of clear ceiling void depth for installation. Confirm void depth before ordering if installing into shallow ceiling constructions or insulated voids.

Is the Glistenis suitable for bathroom use?

The IP20 rating means it is suitable for general bathroom zones outside shower enclosures and directly above baths. It cannot be installed in Zone 1 or Zone 2 positions where direct water spray or high moisture levels occur.

Can the LED module be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the housing and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for 30,000+ hours of operation, which equates to approximately 10 years of constant use or 20+ years of typical residential use. The unit carries a 5-year warranty covering LED failure.

What beam angle does it provide?

The Glistenis uses a fixed-position module with a narrow to medium beam spread, typically 35-45 degrees. This creates a focused pool of light directly beneath the fitting rather than wide-angle wash lighting.
