Description

The Glintis is a 300mm LED bathroom mirror light with a cylindrical opal polycarbonate diffuser housed in a powder-coated anthracite cast aluminium body. An integrated 9.5W LED inside the tube provides 4000K neutral white light, spreading evenly through the opal diffuser to illuminate a mirror without harsh shadows or glare. The light carries an IP44 rating, making it splash-proof and safe for bathroom zone 2.

Designed to mount horizontally above or beside a bathroom mirror, the Glintis suits vanity areas, powder rooms and en-suites with widths of 600mm-900mm. The 300mm length provides coverage across a standard single-sink mirror, while the 70mm projection from the wall keeps the tube clear of most mirror frames. The rear bracket fixes to a standard UK back box or directly to a solid wall, with the LED driver housed within the aluminium body.

The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey with a fine powder-coat texture that resists moisture and fingerprints. The opal diffuser conceals the LED strip inside, presenting as a smooth, even-lit tube when switched on. At 4000K the light sits between warm white and daylight, providing clear colour rendering for shaving and makeup application without the clinical tone of higher-temperature LEDs. The cast aluminium construction and sealed IP44 assembly give the fitting a 5-year warranty against premature failure in humid environments.

Can this be used in a shower room?

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction, making the Glintis suitable for bathroom zone 2. In a bathroom, zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower enclosure) needs IPX4 (IPX5 where water jets are used).

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 9.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for at least 25,000 hours of use, which translates to approximately 15-20 years under typical bathroom usage of 2-3 hours per day.

What colour is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight (5000K+). It provides clear, accurate colour rendering for grooming tasks without the yellow cast of warm white or the blue-tinged appearance of daylight LEDs.

What mirror width does this suit?

The 300mm length works best above mirrors of 600-900mm width, where the light sits centred and provides even coverage without looking undersized or overwhelming the mirror.
