Description

The Glim is a 4-head bar spotlight with individual rotating and tilting heads on a 655mm matt black metal rail. Each head takes a GU10 bulb (sold separately) and can be angled independently to direct light onto artwork, architectural features, kitchen worktops or reading positions. The rail mounts horizontally to either a wall or ceiling fixing, with the 120mm projection giving clearance for the heads to rotate without hitting the mounting surface.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail displays and gallery-style picture lighting, the Glim provides focused task and accent lighting where fixed ceiling fittings cannot deliver directed light. The four heads can be spread across the 655mm length or grouped closer together depending on the layout of the space. When ceiling-mounted, the rail sits 20mm deep against the ceiling with each head projecting approximately 120mm downward when angled vertically. When wall-mounted, the heads can be angled forward, upward or downward depending on what needs illuminating.

The powder-coated black metal finish is low-sheen rather than gloss, reducing reflections under daylight and pairing well with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — bathrooms and outdoor locations require higher-rated fittings. Dimmable when paired with appropriate GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, giving control over brightness for different times of day or different tasks.

Does it come with bulbs?

No. The Glim takes four GU10 bulbs sold separately. Most users pair it with 5-7W LED GU10 bulbs in 3000K warm white or 4000K neutral white depending on whether the fitting is used for ambient accent lighting or task lighting.

Can it be mounted on the ceiling as well as the wall?

Yes. The rail can be fixed horizontally to either a wall or ceiling surface. When ceiling-mounted the heads point downward and can be angled to direct light across worktops, displays or seating areas. When wall-mounted the heads can be angled upward for wash lighting or downward for task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming when paired with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all GU10 LEDs are dimmable, so check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.

Can the heads be positioned at different points along the rail?

No. The four heads are fixed at evenly-spaced intervals along the 655mm rail. However, each head rotates 350° and tilts approximately 90° on its joint, allowing directed light to be aimed at different positions within the room.
