Description

The Glenthorpe is a 64cm table lamp with a hammered iron base finished in gilded oak and topped with a natural Irish linen drum shade. The base is formed from two flat iron uprights that taper outwards, connected by a central rod, with a visible hammered texture across the metal surfaces. The gilded oak finish gives the iron a warm, aged bronze-gold tone that reads as metallic rather than wood.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and console tables in living rooms or hallways, the lamp sits 64cm tall with a 41cm-diameter linen shade that diffuses light evenly around the fitting. The E27 bulb fitting accepts any standard screw-cap bulb up to 60W, allowing choice of light temperature and brightness. The linen shade softens the light output, making the lamp suitable for close-proximity tasks like reading without harsh glare.

The hammered texture on the iron gives each piece slight surface variation depending on where the hammer strikes fell during manufacture. The natural Irish linen shade shows the weave of the fabric when backlit, and its off-white tone pairs with the warm gilded finish on the base.
