Description

The Glade is a single-head LED wall spotlight with an integrated 3W 3000K LED housed in a square matt black aluminium head. The spotlight head pivots on a chromed articulated arm that extends 110mm from the wall-mounted backplate, allowing the beam to be directed at reading material, artwork, or workspace surfaces. A built-in switch on the backplate controls the fitting without needing a separate wall switch.

Designed for bedside reading, over-desk task lighting, and picture illumination in hallways and living rooms, the Glade pairs a compact 40mm-square head with enough projection to direct light down onto a book or across onto a wall surface. The warm 3000K output suits residential interiors where softer light is preferred to cooler daylight tones. The matt black powder-coated finish blends into dark accent walls or provides contrast against lighter paint.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 200g, making it suitable for plasterboard walls with standard fixings. The chromed articulation joint holds the lamp head at the chosen angle without needing to be re-tightened over time. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor rooms, so the Glade is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor locations.

Frequently Asked

Is the Glade dimmable?

No. The integrated 3W LED operates at full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

Can it be used as a bedside reading light?

Yes. The 110mm projection and adjustable head allow the spotlight to be angled down onto reading material from a wall-mounted position above or beside a bed. The built-in switch allows the light to be controlled from the fitting itself.

What angle of adjustment does the head offer?

The square spotlight head pivots on the chromed articulated arm through approximately 180 degrees, allowing it to be directed from nearly parallel with the wall surface down to a steep downward angle for reading or task lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Glade is rated for dry indoor use only and is not protected against moisture ingress. For bathroom use, a spotlight with an IP44 or higher rating is required.
