Description

The Gim is a 120mm square wall light with a rotatable white cone diffuser mounted on a circular white backplate. An integrated 6W LED sits inside the cone and casts warm 3000K light through a satin acrylic screen at the aperture. The cone rotates on its mount, allowing the light direction to be adjusted between horizontal and angled downward or upward.

Designed for bedside reading positions, hallway accent lighting and living room task areas, the Gim provides directed light rather than ambient fill. A built-in switch on the backplate allows the light to be operated without needing a separate wall switch, making it useful for rental properties or older buildings where re-wiring is difficult. The 120mm projection from the wall gives enough clearance for the cone to rotate without hitting door frames or furniture.

The white powder-coated aluminium construction carries an IP20 rating, limiting installation to dry indoor areas only. The coating is low-sheen rather than gloss, reducing glare under daylight. The integrated LED is rated at 6W and produces approximately 480 lumens, which is enough for localised task lighting but not for whole-room illumination. The 3000K colour temperature outputs warm white light comparable to halogen bulbs. Ideal Lux covers the fitting with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

What's the light output?
