The Gentry XL is a large fan built for rooms that need real air movement. With an 85 inch blade span and nine wood veneer blades, it shifts a generous volume of air across open-plan living spaces, big bedrooms and other sizeable interiors. The weathered zinc finish suits industrial-inspired schemes, though it settles just as happily into modern, classic or rustic rooms. An integrated LED light gives you soft ambient light when you want it, and steps back out of the way when you do not.

A quiet DC motor drives the fan, running at 39.9 dBa so it stays in the background rather than competing with conversation or sleep. You get six forward speeds plus a reverse setting, which lets you push cool air down in warmer months and gently circulate warm air in winter. The whole thing is controlled by the included remote, so you can adjust speed, switch direction, dim the light or turn the motor off without leaving your chair. Everything is handled from one handset.

Mounting is flexible. The fan works with a standard flush or downrod fitting and also supports angled ceilings, with a downrod supplied in the box. Because of its scale, we would fit it in a larger room with enough clearance around the blades and adequate ceiling height, rather than a small or low space. It is rated for humid interior locations and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs indoors. Backed by a limited lifetime guarantee, it is made to keep running quietly year after year.
