Description

The Gentry is a 290mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a cylindrical frame of curved clear glass panels held within polished brass upper and lower bands. Three E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit vertically inside the glass cylinder on brass candle sleeves, with the clear glass allowing full visibility of the bulb filaments when lit.

Designed for entrance halls, landings, dining rooms and low-ceiling spaces where a traditional lantern aesthetic is needed without the drop of a pendant, the Gentry sits 244mm from the ceiling to the lower decorative finial. The semi-flush format works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards, where a full pendant would sit too low. The polished brass finish provides warm metallic reflections under both daylight and artificial light, pairing with traditional, classical and period interiors.

The curved glass panels run the full height of the frame, secured top and bottom by the polished brass bands and separated by vertical brass posts. This construction gives the fitting a lantern-like appearance while directing light outward in all directions through the clear glass. The brass candle sleeves inside match the external frame, and the candle-style bulb holders allow the use of decorative filament bulbs to add visual interest when the light is on.
