Description

Our Gedrez set gives you seven matching LED downlights in white, enough to light a room in one go. Each round downlight has a white plastic body with a clear plastic cover over the LED, and measures 9cm in diameter. It needs a cut-out of 6.8cm and a recess depth of only 2.5cm, so it suits ceilings with little room behind them. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or change: each light draws 4.9W and gives 520lm. The set is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors and dry, away from bathrooms and anywhere outdoors.

Each lamp module tilts within its trim, so you can angle the light towards a picture, a shelf or a sideboard rather than straight at the floor. Set in a row along a ceiling, the downlights cast soft pools of light down a wall, which makes a living room, bedroom, hallway or study feel brighter and more finished. You can set the colour temperature to 2700K for a warm glow in the evening, 4000K for a neutral white that suits a home office or a dressing area, or 6500K for a crisp, cool light close to daylight. It is a good choice for anyone relighting a room or planning a new ceiling who wants every light to match.

The plain white finish lets the trim sit against a white ceiling, while the clear cover keeps the LED in view. Spring clips hold each downlight in its cut-out. The lights are not dimmable and have no switch of their own: they are switched at the wall and run on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply. The whole set weighs 0.618KG packed. As a mains light wired into the ceiling, the set should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.

No. They are rated IP20, which means indoors and dry, so we suggest living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and studies, away from water and outdoor spaces.
