Description
The Galaxia is a 6-light cluster pendant built around six cement spheres in grey, red and white tones, suspended on individual cables from a 400mm-diameter white cement canopy. Each sphere houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the cluster arrangement places the six pendants at different heights to form a staggered vertical composition rather than a flat horizontal plane.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Galaxia works as both task and ambient lighting depending on bulb choice. The individual drop heights are adjustable between 210mm and 3,210mm on installation, allowing the cluster to be set low over a table or extended through a stairwell void. The cement finish on each sphere gives a tactile, porous surface texture that contrasts with the smooth white canopy and creates soft shadows when lit from within.
Each cement sphere is hand-cast, so minor surface variation and tonal differences between individual pieces are normal characteristics of the material. The multicoloured mix (two grey, two red, two white) allows the pendant to anchor a neutral palette without disappearing into it, or to echo accent colours already present in soft furnishings and artwork. At 7.6kg total weight including canopy, the fitting requires a ceiling fixing rated for at least 10kg and standard UK wiring with earth.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Galaxia takes six E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-8W and 2700K-3000K. Total wattage depends on the bulbs chosen, but staying under 60W per fitting is recommended.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
Can the drop heights be adjusted individually?
The individual cable lengths are adjustable during installation between 210mm and 3,210mm, allowing each sphere to hang at a different height. Once installed the cables are fixed at the chosen lengths and cannot be adjusted without removing the canopy.
What ceiling height is needed?
For a dining table or kitchen island, a ceiling height of 2.7m or above works well with the spheres set at varying drops between 600-1,200mm. In double-height spaces or stairwells, the full 3,210mm drop can be used to fill vertical volume.
