Description

The Funk is a 52cm table lamp built around an elongated conical shade in brushed brass, mounted on a slender brass stem and seated on a circular weighted black metal base. The shade pivots on a brass ball joint just below the stem, allowing the cone to be aimed across a desk surface or angled upward as wash light. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade (bulb sold separately).

The form suits desks, console tables and bedside positions where a directional reading light is wanted without the bulk of a traditional shaded lamp. The 28cm shade diameter gives a focused pool of light on a work surface, while the brushed gold-tone interior reflects warm light back through the open mouth of the cone. A rotary switch sits on the top edge of the base, within easy reach of a seated user.

The metal construction combines a brushed brass shade and stem with a matt black base that anchors the lamp visually and provides counterweight for the off-centre shade. The contrast between the warm brass upper and the cool black base places the lamp comfortably in mid-century, contemporary and industrial-leaning interiors. The lamp takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a 6-10W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K for desk and bedside use. Filament-style E27 bulbs also suit the shape if the bulb tip is shorter than the cone depth.

Can the lamp head be adjusted?

Yes. The shade pivots on a brass ball joint where it meets the stem, so the cone can be tilted forward to direct light onto a desk or book, or angled upward to bounce light off a wall.

Where is the on/off switch?
