Description

The Frida is a 160mm cube-format outdoor wall light built from die-cast aluminium bars finished in a graphite powder coat, with a polycarbonate front lens protecting a single E27 bulb fitting. The horizontal and vertical bars create a cage-like structure around the bulb, casting linear shadows onto adjacent walls when lit and partially obscuring the bulb from direct view at eye level.

Designed for external mounting on house walls, porch entries, patio seating areas and garden pathways, the Frida carries an IP54 rating against dust and splashed water, making it suitable for uncovered positions under eaves and in UK weather conditions. The 167mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the light to cast shadow patterns onto the mounting surface without the bars sitting flush. The graphite finish softens under evening light to a charcoal grey and pairs with darker brick, painted render and stone exteriors.

The die-cast aluminium construction gives the fitting a 1.2kg weight that anchors securely to masonry with the supplied wall plate, and the metal bars resist corrosion better than mild steel equivalents in coastal and high-humidity environments. The polycarbonate lens is impact-resistant and does not yellow or craze under UV exposure as acrylic lenses can.
