Description

The Hinkley Freeport is a 238mm-high outdoor wall lantern built around a cylindrical cage with three tiers of seeded glass panels, finished in white weather-resistant composite. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the cage, casting light through the textured seeded glass which softens the beam and adds visual interest when unlit. The white pagoda-style roof sits above the cage on a tubular arm fixed to a stepped rectangular backplate.

Designed for covered outdoor positions such as porch entrances, front doors set under canopies, and sheltered patio walls, the IP44 rating protects against splashes and rain from any angle but is not suited to fully exposed positions without overhead cover. The 185mm projection from the wall and compact 155mm width make it suitable for narrow passages beside front doors and on gate posts where a larger lantern would obstruct movement. The E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose between warm filament-style LEDs for traditional aesthetics or brighter cool-white bulbs for functional outdoor lighting.

The seeded glass panels show visible bubbles and texture variations, a deliberate feature that creates shadow patterns when the bulb is lit and prevents the cage from looking stark in daylight.
