Description

The Fosil is a 2-light wall light built around two hand-blown frosted glass globes mounted on a satin nickel backplate with an integrated switch. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately) and diffuses the light evenly through the frosted glass, producing soft ambient illumination rather than directed task light. The 160mm projection from the wall gives the globes a sculptural presence without overwhelming narrow hallways or bedside spaces.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and lounge areas where ambient lighting and wall-mounted control are both useful, the Fosil suits modern and transitional interiors. The integrated switch allows the light to be operated at the fixture rather than from a wall switch, making it particularly suitable for bedside installation where a remote wall switch might be inconvenient. The 220mm width and 240mm height keep the fitting compact enough to flank artwork, mirrors or architectural features in pairs without dominating the wall plane.

The satin nickel finish on the metal mount provides a warm grey metallic tone that sits between polished chrome and brushed steel, pairing comfortably with cool-toned interiors and warm neutrals. The hand-blown glass globes show slight tonal variation between pieces due to the blowing process, with each globe presenting as a smooth, rounded form without visible seams or moulding marks. The fitting accepts dimmable G9 bulbs, allowing light output to be adjusted when paired with a compatible dimmer circuit.

At 1.3kg the Fosil requires secure wall fixings into masonry or solid timber rather than plasterboard alone.
