The amber frosted glass shades are hand-blown, so the thickness and exact tone of the amber can differ between shades on the same lamp and between different production batches. The combined metal frame, glass shades and base weigh 6.7kg, giving the lamp a grounded presence that resists tipping when cables or furniture contact the stem.
