Description
Fondo Marino is a 180x120cm photography print on 4mm tempered glass showing layered green marble mineral formations with gold leaf accents. The image captures jade, seafoam and deep teal tones flowing through each other in organic veining patterns, with scattered gold flecks along the mineral boundaries. The print is sealed behind the glass surface, which protects the image from UV degradation and allows the piece to be cleaned with standard glass cleaner.
Designed as a large-format statement piece for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and commercial interiors, the print suits walls with at least 2m of clear horizontal space. The 180cm width makes it proportional to a sofa back, a king-size headboard wall, or an entrance hallway. The tempered glass adds 21.6kg of weight, so the included hanging ironwork must be fixed into solid walls or into timber studs behind plasterboard. The print can be hung horizontally (landscape) or vertically (portrait) depending on the wall shape and the room's orientation.
The green and teal palette pairs with interiors using natural stone, timber, brass and soft neutral fabrics. The gold accents echo brass lighting fittings, cabinet hardware and mirror frames without needing to match exactly. The glass surface reflects ambient light during the day, which lifts the darker teal sections and adds depth to the mineral veining. At night under warm artificial light the jade tones deepen and the gold flecks catch the light.
The print is supplied ready to hang with wall fixings included. The tempered glass is impact-resistant and safer than standard float glass if broken, shattering into small rounded fragments rather than sharp shards. The 4mm thickness gives rigidity across the 180cm span without needing an internal frame.

Frequently Asked
How is the print mounted to the wall?
The print includes hanging ironwork that fixes to the rear of the glass panel. The fixings must be screwed into solid masonry walls or timber studs due to the 21.6kg weight. Plasterboard-only fixings will not support the load safely.
Can it be hung vertically as well as horizontally?
Yes. The print can be oriented horizontally (180cm wide x 120cm tall) or vertically (120cm wide x 180cm tall). The hanging ironwork accommodates both orientations.
How is the glass cleaned?
The tempered glass surface can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth. The print is sealed behind the glass, so household sprays will not damage the image.
Is the glass safe if broken?
The glass is tempered, which means it is heat-treated to increase impact resistance. If broken, it shatters into small rounded fragments rather than large sharp shards, reducing the risk of serious injury compared to standard float glass.
