Description

The Focus is a semi-recessed spotlight with a white aluminium cylinder housing a single GU10 bulb (sold separately). The spotlight mounts flush to the ceiling with a 60mm-diameter backplate, while the 60mm-diameter cylinder projects 192mm below the ceiling line and swivels through 360° to direct light where needed.

Designed for residential and commercial spaces where adjustable accent or task lighting is required without full track systems, the Focus suits hallways, kitchens, retail displays, and office ceiling zones. The swivel head allows the light to be aimed at wall art, work surfaces, or architectural features after installation. The spotlight fits standard ceiling cut-outs and connects to mains AC 220-240V via a GU10 bulb holder rated up to 10W.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a clean backdrop in contemporary interiors and hides the fitting against white or light-coloured ceilings. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or other damp locations. The cylinder's 130mm length and narrow 60mm diameter keep the fitting compact enough for standard ceiling voids while giving enough projection to aim the beam at walls or surfaces up to 3m away.

What bulb does it take?

The Focus takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W. The bulb is sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for accent lighting or a daylight 4000K bulb for task lighting in kitchens or offices.

Can the spotlight be angled after installation?

Yes. The cylinder swivels through 360° on the ceiling mount, allowing the beam to be directed at any angle within the room after the fitting is installed and wired.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher, particularly in zones near showers, baths and basins.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The backplate sits flush to the ceiling surface with wiring connections behind. A minimum 50mm ceiling void depth is recommended to accommodate the GU10 bulb holder and wiring terminals comfortably.
