Description

The Focus is a single recessed spotlight in matte gold aluminium, designed to fit into ceiling cut-outs and direct light where it's needed. The cylindrical housing is 60mm in diameter and sits 192mm from the ceiling surface when installed, with the GU10 bulb holder positioned inside a rotating head that swivels on two axes. This allows the light beam to be angled after installation without adjusting the fitting itself.

Designed for kitchens, living rooms, hallways and home offices where task or accent lighting is needed without visible surface-mounted fittings, the Focus pairs a clean recessed profile with directional control. The GU10 socket accepts standard mains-voltage LED or halogen bulbs up to 10W (sold separately), giving flexibility over beam angle and colour temperature. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

The matte gold finish is a brushed aluminium surface treatment that reduces reflections and adds warmth to neutral and warm-toned interiors. The aluminium construction keeps the fitting light enough for plasterboard ceilings with standard joist spacing, and the two-axis swivel mechanism uses a friction joint that holds the head in position once angled. The 130mm overall length from ceiling surface to the front of the housing means this spotlight suits ceiling voids of 140mm or deeper for comfortable installation clearance.

The Focus takes a standard GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for ambient light, or a narrower beam angle for accent lighting.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cylindrical head swivels on a two-axis friction joint, allowing the beam to be angled towards walls, worktops or specific features without moving the fitting itself. The joint holds the head in position once set.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Focus is designed for dry indoor locations only and is not protected against moisture. For bathrooms, look for fittings with IP44 or IP65 ratings.
