Description

The Focus S is a single-phase track spotlight built around a cylindrical matt black aluminium body that clips onto standard single-phase track systems via a flat, integrated adapter. The spotlight head rotates 360° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically, allowing light to be directed to walls, shelves, artwork, or workspaces from a single ceiling-mounted track position. The lamp accepts a single GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately).

Designed for retail spaces, galleries, home offices, and residential rooms where accent or task lighting needs to be repositioned without re-wiring, the Focus S suits both commercial and domestic installation. The recessed lamp position inside the cylinder reduces direct glare when the spotlight is angled below eye level, making it more comfortable for prolonged viewing in workspaces or reading positions. The track adapter sits flush with the track profile, giving a cleaner visual line than protruding clip-on adapters.

The aluminium construction keeps the spotlight lightweight at approximately 200g per head, reducing the load on track systems where multiple spotlights are installed along a single run. The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, so the spotlight itself remains visually recessive when switched off. The GU10 base compatibility allows the user to choose between warm-white, cool-white, or daylight-spectrum LED bulbs depending on the application, with dimmer compatibility determined by the specific bulb installed.

The Focus S takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent lighting or cool white (4000K) for task lighting in offices and retail.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb installed. The spotlight itself is dimmer-compatible, but not all GU10 LED bulbs support dimming. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer circuit.

What track system does it fit?

The Focus S fits standard single-phase track systems. The flat adapter clips directly onto the track rail and sits flush with the track profile once installed. It does not fit three-circuit or two-circuit track systems.

Can the spotlight head be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The head rotates 360° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on ball-and-socket joints, allowing light to be redirected as room layouts or accent positions change without removing the spotlight from the track.
