Description

The Focus S is a 52mm diameter surface-mounted downlight in white powder-coated aluminium, housing a single GU10 bulb socket (bulb sold separately). The 100mm height sits directly on the ceiling surface rather than recessing into a void, making it suited to ceilings with limited plenum depth, concrete slab ceilings, or retrofit applications where cutting recesses is impractical.

Designed for residential hallways, kitchens, home offices and commercial retail or hospitality spaces, the Focus S provides a fixed downward beam that suits task lighting over worktops, display lighting in retail, or general ambient light in corridors and entrance halls. The white finish blends with white or light-coloured ceilings, minimising visual intrusion when the light is off. The IP20 rating confines it to dry indoor areas — it is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or any damp or outdoor location.

The aluminium body dissipates heat from the GU10 lamp, allowing the fitting to run a 10W LED GU10 continuously without overheating. The fixed orientation means the beam angle and colour temperature are determined entirely by the choice of GU10 bulb — a 38° beam for task lighting, a 60° beam for general spread, warm white for residential, cool white for commercial. The compact 52mm footprint allows multiple units to be spaced at 600-800mm intervals for even coverage in a hallway or retail aisle.
