Description

The Focus is a 12W LED magnetic track spotlight with a cylindrical black aluminium body that mounts onto 48V DC magnetic track systems. The integrated LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a recessed honeycomb anti-glare diffuser, producing a focused beam that can be angled and rotated once clipped into the magnetic track.

Designed for retail display lighting, art galleries, home accent lighting and commercial interiors, the Focus suits environments where light needs to be directed onto specific objects or surfaces without illuminating the surrounding area. The magnetic mounting allows the spotlight to be repositioned along the track without tools, making it practical for spaces where display layouts change regularly. The 48V DC track system runs on low-voltage power, eliminating the need for individual mains connections at each spotlight position.

The cylindrical housing measures 52mm in diameter and extends 194mm from the track, with the majority of that length being the body rather than projection from the ceiling. The black powder-coated aluminium finish absorbs ambient light rather than reflecting it, keeping visual focus on the lit subject rather than the fitting itself. The recessed LED sits behind a honeycomb diffuser that cuts glare when viewed from typical standing or seated eye-level positions, making the spotlight comfortable in spaces where people spend extended periods.

The integrated 12W LED is rated for 3000K colour temperature, producing a warm white tone that suits residential interiors, hospitality and retail environments displaying warm-toned products or materials. What track system does the Focus require?

The Focus clips into 48V DC magnetic track systems. It is not compatible with standard mains-voltage track or older single-circuit track systems. The magnetic track must be purchased separately and typically includes a driver unit that converts 230V mains to 48V DC.

Can the spotlight be dimmed?

Dimming capability depends on the 48V DC magnetic track driver supplying power to the track. If the driver supports dimming protocols (phase-cut, DALI or 0-10V), the Focus will dim. Check the track system specification before assuming dimming compatibility.

How many spotlights can one track support?

The number of Focus spotlights per track depends on the wattage rating of the track driver. At 12W per spotlight, a 96W driver supports up to eight Focus units, a 150W driver supports twelve, and so on. Consult the track system's driver specification for the maximum load.

Is the Focus suitable for bathroom or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Focus to dry indoor spaces only. It is not rated for bathrooms (which require IP44 minimum in wet zones) or any outdoor installation.
