The Maytoni Focus is a 60mm diameter surface-mounted downlight with a cylindrical white aluminium body and a fixed GU10 lampholder recessed inside. The 130mm height projects down from the ceiling, directing light through the open base onto surfaces below without tilt or rotation. A single GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately) sits inside the cylinder, creating a focused beam of task or accent light.

Designed for surface mounting where recessed downlights cannot be installed due to shallow ceiling voids or concrete slabs, the Focus suits kitchens, hallways, bathrooms (dry zones only — IP20 rated), retail spaces and offices needing directional light without visible bulb glare. The Focus takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W. GU10 bulbs are sold separately at Niori. Most users pair this downlight with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for domestic installations, or neutral white 4000K for commercial spaces.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress. It can be used in dry zones of bathrooms (zones outside the areas immediately around showers, baths and basins) but not in zones 1 or 2 where splashing or steam exposure occurs.

Is the beam direction adjustable?

No. The Focus is a fixed downlight — the beam direction cannot be tilted or rotated after installation. The light projects straight down from the ceiling.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The Focus is surface-mounted, so no ceiling void is required. It sits entirely below the ceiling surface and projects 130mm down. This makes it suitable for installation on concrete slabs, shallow voids, or anywhere a recessed downlight cannot be fitted.
