Description

The Fluxia-2 is a 240mm glass pendant light with a spherical clear glass shade featuring vertical ribbing and a brushed brass metal canopy. The shade is formed from a single piece of moulded clear glass with raised vertical ribs running from top to bottom, creating a ridged surface that catches and refracts light when the bulb is lit. A brushed brass canopy sits flush against the top of the glass, concealing the E27 bulb fitting and cable entry point.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the pendant hangs on a 2m black fabric-covered cable that can be shortened during installation. The 240mm diameter suits positioning over kitchen islands, small dining tables, breakfast bars and hallway consoles where a single pendant provides both functional task light and decorative presence. The ribbed glass diffuses light evenly across the room while creating vertical streaks of shadow and highlight on nearby walls.

The clear glass and brushed brass combination pairs with both warm-toned wood interiors and cooler grey or white contemporary schemes. The vertical ribbing gives the glass shade additional structural rigidity compared to smooth blown glass, reducing the risk of thermal stress cracking when paired with higher-wattage bulbs. The pendant accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.

Is the Fluxia-2 dimmable?

Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable. You will need to pair it with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the lighting circuit. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

What bulb does it take?

The Fluxia-2 takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to achieve a soft ambient glow through the ribbed glass.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 2m cable can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose or canopy. Once installed, the drop height is fixed unless the pendant is removed and re-fitted.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is designed for dry indoor use only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or water spray may be present.
