Fleur Outdoor Wall Light - Black & Gold

The Fleur is an outdoor wall light with a black aluminium frame finished in gold on the interior detailing, holding a pulegoso glass shade in a shield profile. The fitting measures 48cm in height and 26cm in width, with a 15cm projection from the wall. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water from any direction.

Designed for front doors, porch areas, garage walls and covered patios, the Fleur provides both illumination and a decorative presence on exterior walls. The IP44 rating means it handles UK weather conditions including rain and wind-driven spray, but it should be mounted under eaves, canopies or other overhead shelter rather than fully exposed to driving rain. The pulegoso glass diffuses the bulb without fully obscuring it, creating a textured glow that works well with warm-white LED filament bulbs.

The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments better than steel, and the black powder-coated finish holds colour over years of outdoor exposure. The gold interior detailing on the scrollwork and ridged canopy adds contrast visible when the light is on. The fitting mounts to a standard UK exterior wall box and the glass shade is retained by a decorative finial that unscrews for bulb changes.

Product Manual

What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?

IP44 provides protection against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas like porches, under eaves or canopies. It is not fully weatherproof for exposed positions that face driving rain without overhead shelter.

What bulb should I use?

The Fleur takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for a traditional lantern appearance. Bulbs are sold separately.

How is the glass shade accessed for bulb changes?

The glass is retained by a decorative finial at the base of the shade. Unscrew the finial, lower the glass carefully, change the bulb, replace the glass and re-tighten the finial.

Will the black finish fade in sunlight?

The powder-coated aluminium finish is UV-stable and designed for outdoor exposure. Some gradual fading can occur over many years in direct sunlight, but the finish is more durable than painted steel or plastic equivalents.
