The Fleur is a 1.13m pillar lantern built from black aluminium with gold detailing and a PULEGOSO glass diffuser housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The glass contains deliberately introduced air bubbles that scatter the light, producing a softer, more diffused glow than clear glass while retaining enough output for pathway and driveway illumination.

Designed for ground-level outdoor installation along driveways, garden paths, gate posts and property perimeters, the Fleur carries an IP44 rating for protection against rain and splashing from any direction. The 15cm square footprint fits standard post-mount bases or can be bolted directly to a concrete pad. The black finish on the aluminium body resists corrosion in coastal and high-rainfall environments, while the gold accents on the decorative detailing provide contrast without requiring regular polishing.

The lantern head sits at approximately 1m above ground level when installed, positioning the light at a height that illuminates the immediate ground area without creating glare for approaching visitors. The PULEGOSO glass is heavier and thicker than standard clear glass, giving the fitting better wind resistance and reducing the risk of fracture from minor impacts. What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?

IP44 provides protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashing from any direction. This rating is suitable for exposed outdoor locations including driveways, pathways and garden perimeters, but the lantern should not be installed where it will be submerged or subjected to high-pressure water jets.

What bulb should I use?

The lantern takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for pathway lighting. Clear filament-style LED bulbs work well with the bubble glass, as the PULEGOSO diffusion softens the filament visibility while retaining decorative character.

How is it mounted?

The lantern has a 15cm square base designed for post-mount installation or direct bolting to a concrete pad. The electrical cable enters through the base, so installation requires either a pre-wired post or a cable run buried beneath the installation point.

Does the gold finish tarnish?

The gold detailing is a powder-coated finish on aluminium rather than plated metal, so it does not tarnish or require polishing. The finish may fade slightly over several years in direct sunlight, but this is gradual and does not affect the structural integrity of the lantern.
