Description

The Fletcher is a 356mm (14") flush ceiling light with a drum-shaped ivory faux silk shade, a polished chrome finial at the base, and a gloss white acrylic diffuser plate sealing the bottom aperture. The fitting accepts three E27 bulbs (sold separately), each rated up to 60W, housed inside the shade and diffused through both the fabric and the acrylic plate.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m or where a pendant would hang too low, the Fletcher projects 252mm from the ceiling and suits hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms and compact living spaces. The flush-mount configuration means no drop or chain, reducing head-strike risk in circulation zones. The acrylic diffuser spreads light evenly across the room rather than directing it downward in a single beam.

The ivory shade is a tightly-woven synthetic fabric imitating the texture of natural silk, providing a warmer appearance than plain white drum shades while remaining neutral enough to pair with both warm and cool colour schemes. The polished chrome finial at the base adds a reflective accent without dominating the shade. The 356mm diameter gives enough presence above a double bed or in a 3m hallway without overwhelming smaller rooms.

The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Can the shade be cleaned?

The faux silk shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a very lightly damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays which may stain or discolour synthetic fibres.

Is the acrylic diffuser removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The acrylic diffuser plate sits below the bulb holders and can be removed to access the E27 sockets for bulb replacement. Refer to the fitting instructions for the specific method used on this model.
