The Flareon is a 200mm rectangular outdoor wall light housing four integrated LED points delivering a combined 25W output at 3000K. The black metal housing measures 200mm wide by 100mm in projection and carries an IP54 rating against dust ingress and water spray, making it suitable for exterior installation under eaves, beside entrance doors and along perimeter walls.

Designed for architectural up-and-down lighting, the Flareon projects light both upwards and downwards along the wall plane, creating a grazing effect that highlights texture on brick, render or timber cladding. The rectangular form suits contemporary and industrial exteriors where a defined geometry is preferred over curved or domed wall lights. The 100mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, reducing the risk of impact damage in narrow side passages or high-traffic pathways.

The 3000K colour temperature provides a warm white light output that reduces the harshness often associated with cooler LED outdoor lighting. The four LED points are fixed within the housing and non-replaceable, so the entire unit operates as a sealed IP54-rated system. The black powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments, and the fixture carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering LED and housing integrity.

Is the Flareon suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water spray from any direction, but not sustained water jets or submersion. The Flareon is suitable for installation under eaves, in recessed porches and on covered terraces. Fully exposed positions in driving rain may benefit from additional overhead shelter or a higher IP-rated fitting.

Does the LED project light up and down the wall?

Yes. The four integrated LED points are arranged to cast light both upwards and downwards along the wall plane, creating an architectural grazing effect. This highlights wall texture and provides indirect ambient light rather than direct forward illumination.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The four LED points are integrated within the sealed IP54 housing and non-replaceable. The entire unit operates as a sealed system, and the 5-year warranty covers LED performance and housing integrity. Typical LED lifespan is 25,000-50,000 hours.

What fixing method does it use?

The Flareon mounts to the wall via a rear backplate with fixing holes. The electrical connection is made within the backplate cavity before the main housing is secured over the top. A qualified electrician is required for outdoor mains installation.
