Can it be used in fully exposed locations?

The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for locations under eaves, canopies or covered porches. It is not rated for fully exposed positions where heavy rain falls directly onto the top of the fitting.

What's the difference between the black and bronze finishes?

The main aluminium frame is finished in textured black. The vertical corner brackets running down each edge of the lantern are finished in burnished bronze, creating a dual-tone contrast. This is a single-finish variant, not a choice between two separate finishes.

How is it mounted?

The lantern mounts via a top-arm bracket that fixes to a backplate screwed to the wall. The backplate sits flush against brick, stone or rendered exteriors, with the cable entering through a knock-out hole in the backplate.
